Building Your Brand Awareness Locally

Posted in Synergy Suggestions on 31.05.13 by John Meloche

local-advertising-mapsIn yesterday’s blog, we began discussing the importance of advertising within your community. If you’re not popular with those who live closest to the location of your business, then what’s the point in being there, right? On TheHeartLinkNetwork.com, Dawn Billings writes that there are many creative ways to advertise in your community. They include everything from sponsoring sports teams to donating raffle prizes.

It’s all about making personal connections. This is why promotional gifts work so well. At Synergy Marketing, we’re experts at helping business owners make those connections. Our gifts are useful, practical and handy ways to tell customers that you care about them. In today’s blog, we’ll look at a few more ways that entrepreneurs can get closer with their community members.

Advertise in your grocery stores. Billings points out that there is a much more unique and interesting way to advertise than putting up a bulletin in your local supermarket. Contact the manager of local area grocery stores and see if they allow advertisers to place business ads on the back of their cash register receipts, she suggests. You may have just stumbled upon an excellent way to boost your brand.

Advertise at concerts. Summer is just around the corner. In fact, it’s practically here! There are bound to be a series of outdoor concert events that you can sponsor. You should also be able to set up tables at these events that will help you to pass out your promo gifts and connect with concert-goers. Spreading awareness about your brand has never been so cool!

Get in on Grand Openings. Billings notes that local businesses who are starting up often have Grand Openings that involve the giving away of freebies. There’s nothing like partnering up with a fresh new brand to give your company a fresh new image. As long as the new business is not a direct competitor, it may be a good idea to contact the owner to see if your can donate products that include your business information for giveaways.

Support those who support you. Keeping with the concept of working with other businesses, Billings writes that you should “exchange business cards, fliers and coupons with another Direct Sales consultant. Every time you hand out a customers order, place one of her business cards into your bag, and vice-versa.” That way, you’re sure to increase your brand awareness to new customers.

Put your business knowledge to work. Naturally, it’s important to advertise. But it’s also important to actually prove that you’re as good as you say you are. Do you consider yourself an expert in your field? If so, Billings encourages you to call up your local colleges, cooking schools and craft stores among other places to see if you can come in to teach a class.

Our Synergy Marketing staff is made up individuals who consider themselves experts in their field. This is why our company has been successful in making other companies successful. For more information on how to advertise with the best promotional products with your company’s name and logo on them, contact a member of our team by dialing 1-877-748-9884.

Boost Business By Caring For Your Community

Posted in Synergy Suggestions on 30.05.13 by John Meloche

local adBusiness promotion is the name of the game around here. And if you’ve been keeping up with the Synergy Marketing Blog, you’re well aware of the fact that advertising tips are a-plenty. Our staff helps their clients to think big by thinking small. And what do we mean by that? You don’t have to blow a big budget to effectively promote your business. Promo gifts work well because of their relative inexpensiveness.

However, they also work well in building brands because they create personal connections with customers. People who receive promo gifts don’t take on this type of advertising the way they would a big budget television commercial. The gift is a “thank you”. It’s a personal way of saying “I appreciate you”. The key to promotional gifts is that they consider the direct concerns of your local clients.

It’s good to think big. But doing so requires remembering to think small. And that means directly communicating to the people who live closest to your company’s location so that you can grow your business. On TheHeartLinkNetwork.com, Dawn Billings writes that there are many creative ways to advertise your business in your community. There are great benefits to focusing on this type of promotional campaign.

Go to local fairs and community carnivals. If you win over the hearts of the people closest to where your company is located, you’re bound to have a long and successful career as that company’s owner. To do so, it’s wise to get a booth or table and set it up at these events to make direct contact with the people who attend them. Be sure to have your promotional gifts handy!

Give your business products as holiday gifts. In additional to promo gifts, Billings suggests that you hand out some of your own products as well. What better way to convince people that your products are the best than to put them directly into their hands? Yes, this will cost you a little bit. But, as we know very well at Synergy, people love getting things for free. They’ll pay for your quality items in the long run.

Contact local churches. Billings suggests that you place ads in the weekly church bulletins and activity guides. It is also wise to do the same in any other local publications that may exist. She notes that high school yearbooks often provide room for ads. The same goes for local community playhouse programs. The more you are involved in the different aspects of your community, the better.

Sponsor a team. As Billings points out, “baseball teams, softball teams, cheerleading squads, gymnastic squads and swim teams, etc. are always looking for sponsors.” An excellent way to promote your business in your community is to have the name and logo of your brand appear on the uniforms of a local team. Think about it. You may even get people chanting the name of your company at a game!

Donate a raffle-drawing prize. Your community is bound to have a number of non-profit groups or charity organizations in it. Working with such groups provides you with a twofold benefit. Firstly, you will be able to advertise your brand by donating prices for their raffles and charity-raising contests. Secondly, you will be kindly helping those in your community who need your help the most.

Advertise To Advance Your Brand

Posted in Synergy Suggestions on 29.05.13 by John Meloche

advancePromo gifts go a long way in helping business owners say “thank you” and “I care about your business” to their customers. Naturally, it makes sense to advertise your brand. And on WikiHow.com, there are a number of advertising methods listed. The use of promo gifts, by the way, can work with any marketing plan. Call one of our awesome sales reps today at 1-877-748-9884 to order yours. Now let’s see how we can put them to good use.

Advertise. This should go without saying, right? But many entrepreneurs simply do not focus on proper advertising. There are some traditional methods that you may want to consider including print ads and television commercials. However, these types of advertising are extremely costly and don’t always provide the pay-offs that business owners are looking for.

At Synergy Marketing, our years of experience have shown that promo gifts create personal connections between business owners and customers. Clients generally appreciate the thoughtfulness of free gifts and become more prone to remaining loyal to the brands giving them out. It’s important to not only choose the right promo gifts, but the right advertising campaign to use when handing them to customers.

For example, many businesses hold contests or special events. The objective is to create a bigger buzz to attract a larger audience. The more people that come to your event, the more people you can provide promo gifts to. In some cases, you may use a special high-end promo gift as the grand prize in one of your contests. It’s all about using your gifts wisely. That’s good advertising.

Rely on the power of social networks. In many of our past blogs, we have championed the use of social networking websites. These days, networking involves a lot more than showing up at meetings and corporate events. You have to be online. As WikiHow.com points out, “social networks have become the new darling of advertising because much of the legwork is being done by dedicated fans, for free.”

This is true. When your customers like you, they’ll be quick to talk about it. The use of sites like Facebook and Twitter is arguably the most common way for people to communicate these days. When you establish a social network of fans through having profiles on both of these sites, you will create a network of great word-of-mouth promoters for free. If you haven’t set up your profiles, do it today!

Offer freebies. Naturally, Synergy Marketing couldn’t agree more with this piece of advice. Says WikiHow.com, “pass out merchandise with your company’s name and/or logo on it to everyone you meet at networking events, trade shows, client meetings and even personal social gatherings. Things like pens, magnets and calendars are good merchandising ideas, as these tend to stay in use, and within view, for extensive periods of time.”

Develop relationships with your customers. At the end of the day, this is probably the most important piece of advice that can be given to a business owner. Remember that customers are people, says WikiHow.com, They are not numbers. They need to be treated with dignity and respect. That means putting a genuine effort into building personal relationships with them.

Blue Jays Showing Some Winning Spirit

Posted in News on 28.05.13 by John Meloche

kawasakiThings are heating up in Toronto. Not only is it expected to literally be hot and sunny this week, but the city’s Major League Baseball team has seemingly sprung to life. Sports fans in the home of Synergy Marketing’s headquarters are all abuzz this week following a couple of cool wins by the Toronto Blue Jays. On Sunday, the team rebounded in the ninth inning to beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-5.

The comeback was highlighted by Japanese sensation, Munenori Kawasaki. Not only was he able to drive in two runs with a double to left-centre field on a two out, 3-2 pitch, but the shortstop was able to endear himself to the Toronto faithful even more during his post-game interview. In truth, Kawasaki is not fluent in English. His words were short, but were all praise for his teammates.

“This is what real team players are all about,” commented one of the members of Synergy’s sales team yesterday, “When you think like a team player, and not an individual, you are bound to help your team get better results. Munenori is loved because he is selfless. He’s all about boosting the energy and enthusiasm of his teammates. He’s a great addition to the Jays.”

Kawasaki, by the way, joined the Blue Jays after their star shortshop, Jose Reyes went down with an ankle injury just two weeks into the start of the season. No one would have predicted or wanted Reyes to get hurt. But no one seems to be unhappy that Kawasaki is a Blue Jay. The momentum gained from Sunday’s win seemed to spill over into Monday’s game.

The visiting Atlanta Braves were bested by a score of 9-3 following a great offensive display by the Blue Jays. Pitcher Mark Buehrle also had a great game, pitching six solid innings, only allowing one earned run. Last night’s game also showcased a very rare occurrence in baseball. Blue Jays centrefielder, Colby

Rasmus went to bat against his younger brother, Cory in the seventh inning.
Hitting a double in what was described as a “hit parade” by The Canadian Press, the older Rasmus proved what it is all about to be a member of a team. “It was awesome and terrible at the same time,” said Colby. Clearly, there were mixed emotions about clobbering his brother during the game.

“They say blood is thicker than water, but Colby went out there and did his job,” said another member of our sales team, “That shows his dedication to his team. He can’t go up there taking it easy because he’s facing his younger brother. It was great to see Rasmus giving out high-fives to his teammates who were also getting hits against his brother. It’s important to put the team first.”

The Blue Jays have been taking a lot of heat, this season, for not being as strong a team on the field as they appear on paper. The first couple of games this week, however, have showed signs that good teamwork will produce great results. We do our best to both remember and practice that, here at Synergy Marketing. And we’re hoping we can join your team to help it win as well! Call us up at 1-877-748-9884.

Give Your Business A Lift Using A Promo Gift

Posted in Synergy Suggestions on 27.05.13 by John Meloche

liftAt Synergy Marketing, we specialize in providing Canadian business owners with incredible advertising options known as promotional gifts. But you already knew that. What you may not necessarily know is that our staff is comprised of marketing experts. Our team is made up of friendly, knowledgeable and experienced individuals who know how to get your business more buzz.

Of course, our promo gifts go a long way in helping your company get noticed. But it’s important to create a well thought-out marketing strategy in order to implement your ideas properly. Handing out gifts is great. But you have to have a plan on how to “wow” your customers every time they come back to your store. On WikiHow.com, it is explained that promoting your business is an integral part of its success.

When you work to expand your client base, you open up new windows of opportunity for yourself. Of course, there are many ways to promote your business. And WikiHow.com offers up a few of the best ways. What can you do to take your company to new heights? Do you have a marketing strategy in place to make this summer your hottest one yet? Let’s see if we can help you with that.

Create a brand image or logo. Is it your goal to get widespread recognition? If you’re looking to secure credibility for your business, it’s important to inspire others. One way to do that is to present your brand in the most professional manner possible. WikiHow.com suggests that you place your logo on just about anything people can get their hands on. Naturally, that includes promo gifts.

Of course, it also means business stationary, business cards, email signatures, brochures, signs, websites and other merchandising materials. The key is to get people to take a piece of your business home with them. This is what makes promo gifts such great advertising tools. They stay with their recipients and serve as daily reminders of where to shop.

Network. Too many business owners underestimate the importance of networking. It’s important to meet and speak with professionals from other related industries. This is an effective way to promote your business because your interactions could end up turning into joint ventures. There’s nothing like working with another business that will help you to boost your own.

When you build new relationships, it puts yourself in a better position to ask for referrals and begin a “scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” partnership. You will also have a greater opportunity to learn more about your competition. There are, of course, many different ways to network. Attending networking group meetings, asking relevant questions during group discussions and handing out your promo gifts are just a few.

Promo gifts serve as excellent ways to get conversations going. They serve as great “thank yous” to your customers and most often encourage them to keep coming back to your store. Give one of our amazing sales reps a call at 1-877-748-9884 to discuss getting the right promotional gift to boost your business. It’s time to build your brand using an advertising method that works!

Promo Gifts Have Many Brand-Building Benefits

Posted in Promotional Products on 24.05.13 by John Meloche

Corporate Gifts

It’s natural for the staff, here at Synergy Marketing, to discuss how great promotional gifts are. After all, we are experts at promoting businesses across Canada with inexpensive, yet very effective promo gifts. But you don’t have to take our word for it. On TopTenReviews.com, Jill Harness lists a number of ways that promo products can help your brand.

Getting Passed Along. Your promo gift is not your average ad. Harness points out that items like pens are great little investments because they are passed around and used regularly. Sometimes, an item as simple as a promotional pen is the reason that someone will find out about a company. Even in today’s digital world, people still ask for pens. Send your customers home with them!

Daily Reminders. Promo gifts are great because they are intended to never leave the people they are given to. They serve as subtle ways to remind customers to revisit your store. The more useful the promo gift, the better. Imagine your customers sipping their morning coffees from mugs that you gave them. Chances are, you’ll be seeing those people more often!

Walking Billboards. Gifts such as sunglasses make amazing “double promotions”. As Harness explains, your gift will not only impress its recipient, but it will serve as a billboard every time it is worn. So while the person wearing your pair of shades will think about your company every time he or she wears it, the people who see the sunglasses will be either reminded or informed about where to do business.

Local Goodwill. Promotional gifts make for perfect giveaway items and contest prizes. Harness recommends that you get involved in community events and see about making your business a sponsor. Not only will potential customers get your promo gifts, but they associate your brand with goodwill. It is arguable that there is no better way to make a good impression on your community.

Corporate Gifts. At Synergy Marketing, we do offer higher-end gifts. As Harness writes, sometimes you need to go a bit further to impress your “higher-end clientele”. There are a number of gifts available that will work to leave lasting impressions on those that may be spending the most amount of money at your business. These are customers you definitely want to keep around.

Employee Rewards. “Not all promotional products need to be used for advertising,” Harness writes, “You can also provide employee incentives and small reminders at your company parties with these items. It’s always good to remember that a happy employee is a productive employee and just because you have a small business doesn’t mean you can’t afford to reward your employees from time to time.”

Corporate & Personalized Gifts

It’s time to call one of our friendly sales reps by dialing 1-877-748-9884. Getting the right promo gift for your brand will be the first important step in taking your company to the next level. As the Synergy Marketing Blog has pointed out all week long, promo gifts are inexpensive, useful and effective tools to build your business. Let’s begin growing your client base today!

Highlighting The Power Of Promo Gifts

Posted in Promotional Products on 23.05.13 by John Meloche

highlighter-backgroundAll week long, we have been blogging about the benefits that promotional products can provide for your company. The building of relationships between your business and its clients, partners and even employees can be made stronger through the giving out of promo gifts. This is a strategy that has been used for decades, and it continues to work wonders today for entrepreneurs everywhere.

At Synergy Marketing, we specialize in providing the best promotional products in our industry. And how can we be so confident that our products are the best? Well, it all begins with quality. We ensure that each and every one of our products are top-notch. Especially considering that our promo gifts all have practical uses, it’s important that they are all in good working order.

After all, a promo gift that doesn’t function properly won’t exactly do a great job promoting your business. At Synergy, we take it a lot further than our products though. It’s also important to us to offer incomparable customer service. We achieve this firstly, by employing upbeat, dedicated and knowledgeable sales staff. Our team members are genuinely excited about the products they sell.

It’s part of their jobs to ensure that each client gets the promotional products that make the most sense for their companies. Of course, there are all types of businesses out there. Therefore, we carry all types of promo gifts. Choosing the right gift for the right company is key. This is another area that Synergy excels in – providing variety. Our clients deserve choices.

When you think about it, all customers deserve choices. And it’s our job to help you make your customers want to choose you. In addition, it cannot be overlooked how relatively inexpensive promo gifts are when compared to your traditional modes of advertising. On TopTenReviews.com, Jill Harness comments upon the power of making the small investment in promo gifts.

“Believe it or not, these tiny little investments can often provide you with a better return on your investment than billboards or bench ads in the community,” writes Harness, “Sure ads like billboards may be noticed as people are driving around town, but they are much more expensive than a giveaway item and will only appear in one place, where promotional products can travel around from place to place.”

Another important point to highlight is the fact that promo gifts stay with their recipients. Your average promotional campaign lasts only a few seconds at a time. Whether it’s a television commercial, an ad on the side of a bus or a billboard, as Harness mentioned, these types of ads literally come and go. A promo gift is your way of promoting your business on a daily basis to those who mean the most to your business.

Let’s begin growing your client base by choosing the right promotional gift for your brand. Give one of our friendly sales reps a call by dialing 1-877-748-9884. Our many years of experience have proven that when promotional products are handed out to customers, they tend to remain loyal to those they received the gifts from. It’s time to highlight your company that way!

Promo Gifts Strengthen Your Relationships

Posted in Promotional Products on 22.05.13 by John Meloche

strongIn yesterday’s blog, we revisited the topic of promotional products and the impact they can have in building your business. Growing your brand successfully will have a lot to do with how well you build relationships. And as Amber Collins of SmartOnlinePros.com points out, promo gifts are great ways to increase customer loyalty and garner referrals. But they do a lot more than that!

Promo gifts also help strengthen other types of relationships. In today’s blog, we’ll examine a few other important uses of promotional products, as outlined by Collins. Naturally, you want to grow your business. But you don’t necessarily want to spend an arm an a leg doing so. There are a number of ways that cost-effective promo gifts can work for you.

Motivate Employees. Who says that promo gifts are for customers only? Many employees go home with promo gifts as they can also be used to boost employee morale. Often, the efforts of a staff go overlooked. Be sure not to make this mistake. Show your employees that you value their work and that you appreciate them. You can use promo gifts as awards.

This often helps to boost productivity, creating a sense of friendly competition in the workplace. As Collins writes, “Apart from dissatisfaction with salary, lack of recognition is the biggest contributor to low employee morale…Use awards, plaques, and other gifts to show your appreciation for the hard work that your employees put into your business.” Your staff, of course, always deserves recognition.

Build B2B Relationships. Promo gifts are all about building relationships. And while you want to strengthen the ones you have with your customers and your staff members, you also want to be sure to build the relationships you have with other business owners. They enjoy receiving gifts too. When you think about it, who doesn’t enjoy receiving a free gift? It’s part of our nature as humans, isn’t it?

Collins writes that by providing other businesses with your promo gifts, “your company’s goodwill will stay at the forefront of the minds of people and decision makers there.” Your gesture will make it a lot more likely that they will come to you when it’s time for them to get what it is you provide. Remember, it’s all about building relationships. Your gifts will go a long way in doing just that.

Build Cohesiveness In Your Campaigns. Writes Collins, “Promotional products will work well with your other marketing campaigns and increase the impact. For instance, you can improve the effectiveness of direct sales when it is mailed with a promotional pen or something similar. Promotional products can also be used as a lead generation tool to enhance your email campaigns.”

Think about it. What has more impact? A business card or a pen? What is likely to be pulled out and used more often? Which item is more useful? The obvious answer lies in the promo gift. It’s the advertising tool that keeps on working for you day after day after day. Be sure to contact the friendly reps at Synergy Marketing at 1-877-748-9884 to discuss the promotional gift that is right for your company.

Promo Gifts Build Brand Loyalty

Posted in Promotional Products on 21.05.13 by John Meloche

brandSynergy Marketing specializes in providing Canadian business owners with top quality promotional products to help advertise their businesses. But, as we mentioned in yesterday’s blog, promo gifts do so much more than simply advertise your company. They provide your clients with practical and useful gifts that help to build your brand recognition on a daily basis.

Promo gifts have been proven to not only be effective, but more cost-conscious than your average advertising tools. Our products serve as excellent ways to say “thank you” to your customers. Gifts will increase their senses of loyalty to your company while being encouraged to recommend others to give your business a try. On SmartOnlinePros.com, Amber Collins affirms this.

She writes that “over eighty percent of businesses collectively spend millions of dollars annually on promotional campaigns to increase their companies’ visibility and sales.” So, it should go without saying that it is integral to a company’s success and growth to advertise. But Collins also writes that using promotional products to do so provides numerous benefits.

Maintain Customer Loyalty. As you may have heard before, it’s a lot easier to maintain the customer base that you have now than it is to generate new customers. One of the first benefits to handing out promo gifts to your current client base is the fact that it will help to generate repeat sales from those who already support your brand. Promo gifts keep your customers coming back.

As you know, a promo gift will keep your company name and contact information “right in the line of vision of your customers”. When business owners utilize the promo gift advertising strategy, they often find that their customers are reordering faster and a lot more often. What better way to remind your client base about where to do business than useful promo gifts that can be used daily?

Generate Referrals. As mentioned, it’s easier to retain your current customers than it is to generate new ones. But your current customers are bound to help you boost revenue not only by providing you with repeat sales. Promo gifts also encourage shoppers to provide your business with referrals. Your gifts serve as incentives for others to talk about your company.

The more satisfied they are with your products and services – as well as your promo gifts – the more they are going to talk about you. It’s a good idea to kindly ask for referrals when handing out your gifts. You can even offer the gift as an incentive. Collins suggests that you “send out emails, letters, updates on social media, that you’ll give some gifts away to customers who send a certain amount of new customers to your business.”

Contact the friendly and knowledgeable reps at Synergy Marketing by calling 1-877-748-9884. Getting the right gift for your company is an important part of the promo gift-giving process. In tomorrow’s blog, we’ll examine a few other great benefits of making promotional products part of your next advertising campaign. They go a long way in building relationships – and not just with customers!

Promo Gifts Work Even During Holidays

Posted in Promotional Products on 20.05.13 by John Meloche

SG-306_BIG-500x500Happy Victoria Day Canada! We hope that you’re all enjoying the long weekend. This is just a reminder that although the Synergy offices are closed for the day, we’ll be open bright and early tomorrow morning to serve you. Our promotional gifts, on the other hand, never take a day off. While you’re able to take the opportunity to relax today, your promo gifts are still at work.

For decades, business owners across Canada have been using promotional products to advertise their businesses for that very reason. They don’t take days off! Promo gifts are useful and practical items that do a lot more than simply advertise a business. Pens, key chains and mugs, just to name a few, are items that are used each and every day. So even on holidays, they go to work!

Think about the impact that your gifts have each day when they are being used by their recipients. Not only do they remind your customers of where to shop, but they clearly come in handy as well. This is why promo gifts are so much more effective than your average advertising method. Television commercials last only thirty seconds long and, these days, are generally skipped right through.

Billboards and flyers are lucky to get passing glances. Promo gifts, however, actually stay with your customers. They remain in their homes and are put to use on a frequent basis. Think about it. What is more useful? A pair of sunglasses or a business card? Put your advertising budget to good use by investing in promotional products to advertise your business.

In Toronto, we are having a gloriously sunny Victoria Day today. People can be seen jogging outside and enjoying relaxing times in the park. Many of them are carrying their water bottles with them. Hydration, as you should know, is very important to good health. So why shouldn’t they be using water bottles that bare the name of your company?

Holidays or not, your promo gifts are always working. And did we mention how cost-effective they are? Compared to those traditional advertising methods that we commented upon earlier, promo gifts are incredibly inexpensive. Be sure to peruse through the many items that we have available on our website to check the prices out for yourself. Pick the gift that best suits your business and give us a call in the morning!

We know that, as a business owner, you are likely at work anyway. Entrepreneurs are known for their “never take a day off” spirit. But your promo gifts will give you the opportunity to have more time to yourself. That’s because while you relax, they work. Your promo gifts are truly long-lasting advertising tools that have worked wonders for a long time.

Our Synergy sales reps are experts at selecting the right gift for the right brand. Give them a call tomorrow at 1-877-748-9884 to discuss which one would make the most sense for you. After all, it makes sense for you to advertise your business in ways that both saves you money and works well into the future. Hand out promo gifts to your clients and build your client base – even during the holidays!
