5 Tips On How To Talk Your Way To The Top

Posted in Synergy Suggestions on 17.07.14 by John Meloche

Depositphotos_10286125_xsThere are literally countless ways to promote your business. And readers of the Synergy Marketing Blog have received hundreds upon hundreds of pieces of advice on how business owners can grow their brands over the past few years. We enjoy surfing the internet to gain a greater perspective on how different business professionals handle the tasks of advertising their companies. And no piece of advice is ever wrong.

The thing is we can’t take every single tip we receive and put them into practice. The key is to find the ideas that work best for our respective brands and adopt them into our own marketing campaigns. Have you found the promotional plan that works best for your business yet? If not, don’t worry. Trial and error is often a part of the process for us all to determine what ideas work and which ones don’t.

It’s the business owners who go through these ups and downs to figure out the best choices who end up making the biggest successes of their companies. In today’s blog, we’ll continue our tradition of providing promotional ideas in hopes that you may find the perfect one or ones to promote your business. But there is a special focus on “talking” in today’s blog. We’ll review five ways that you can talk your way to the top!

1. Call your customers. Many businesses utilize call centres as part of their approach to advertising. You may think that telemarketing is an outdated resource, but the truth is that there is nothing like the good old telephone to reach out and touch somebody! Often, small businesses go unheard of if they are not putting out cold calls. The key is to have a friendly and professional approach to advertising your brand to intrigue new prospects when you call them.

2. Talk to your customers in person. Okay, if there is anything better than giving someone a phone call, it’s speaking to him or her in person. Yes, even in today’s modern era when we all love to communicate via social media, you simply can’t beat the face-to-face encounter. Be sure to approach your customers when they walk through your doors in an upbeat and friendly matter and get to know them. Making new friends this way can be very lucrative in the long run.

3. Be a live guest speaker. There are bound to be seminars, trade shows, lectures and other opportunities to speak in your community. If you’re an expert in your field – and you should feel confident that you are – reach out to community centres, schools and other organizations that may be holding events in the coming months to see if you can participate. Again, being able to talk directly to people is a great way to represent your brand.

4. Be a guest speaker on the radio. Not all speaking engagements have to be in front of an audience that you can see. Look into local talk radio programs to discover if they are looking for guests. You never know when a topic of discussion that you are an expert at will be the subject of a show. The hosts may even wish to interview you specifically about your business and how you got it started. It’s all about being unique and interesting. Do you have it in you?

5. Join a community group. Arguably, there’s no one better to support your business than those who live closest to it. So perhaps the most talking you should do about your business should be with those in your surrounding area. Look into community groups to find out how you may be of service to them. It should go without saying that giving back to your community will help you gain great favour with your neighbours – an obvious plus for your business.

We’d love to talk more with you about how to grow your business. So we remain available to take your calls at 1-877-748-9884 in order to get you the perfect promotional gift to help with your advertising campaign. Call us today!

6 Ways To Promote Your Business At Summer Events

Posted in Synergy Suggestions on 16.07.14 by John Meloche

Depositphotos_29571017_xsFor most people, it’s pretty hard not to enjoy the warmth and sunshine that comes along with the summertime. Summer is the perfect season for spending time outdoors at the many events that take place throughout the season. In past blogs, we’ve discussed the importance of having your business well represented at summer events. We’ve even suggested that you throw a few of your own! They make for great opportunities for you to hand out your promo gifts.

On the Minority Business Development Agency website, guest blogger Rieva writes that community events such as outdoor fairs and festivals provide excellent venues for small business owners to market their products and services to local residents and other event-goers. But perhaps, that’s easier said than done, right? Not to worry. She goes on to offer six simple steps in order to get you started.

1. Research what events exist in your community and nearby communities. Well, that’s just got to be the first step, doesn’t it? How else will you know what’s taking place in your area unless you do your research? You just might be surprised to know how much is going on right around your block. It would be silly not to take part in nearby events as your community members are the first people who should know all about your business.

2. Find the right match. Not all events are going to bring out people who are perfectly suited to support your brand. Rieva advises that you “figure out which events are likely to bring the kinds of customers you want to target. Consider the city where the event is held, the target audience and the activity. It’s best to start with an event that has a track record in the community since the organizers will be better able to give you an estimate of attendance and audience breakdown.”

3. Get the details. It’s important to be informed. But it’s also important to know that event organizers need to see the benefit that you can bring to their events. In other words, if you’d like to set up a booth, you may have to fork out some dough to become an official sponsor of the event. Be sure to get as much information as you can about costs and requirements, recommends Rieva. Contributing money should help to get your business name on advertising materials for the event.

4. Talk to others. Do you know anyone who has been to these events before? “Events don’t always live up to their hype,” Rieva reminds us, “so find other business owners who have participated in the events you’re considering and ask them what they liked and didn’t like.” You should try to find out about fees and registration costs, previous attendance numbers and numbers of qualified leads that other business owners have attained.

5. Assess results. Once it’s all said and done, it’s important to track the results of the event to see if it was worthwhile, says Rieva. You should set goals for yourself before the event starts including how much product you intend on selling, how many leads you plan on capturing and how many prospects you want to meet. “Track them and assess your results afterward,” she writes, “Fine-tune your approach depending on what you learned.” It’s all about being prepared.

6. Be prepared. Speaking of which, don’t assume that you can simply show up to an event and make it a success without preparing. You’ll need to do some advance planning, says Rieva. “If your goal is collecting leads, make sure you have enough samples and literature to give out.” At Synergy Marketing, we ALWAYS recommend having the people you meet leave with something to remember you by. And there’s nothing more memorable than a useful promotional gift!

Discussing The Impact Of Our Most Successful Promo Gifts

Posted in Promotional Products on 15.07.14 by John Meloche

p-522-160x160With so many ways to promote your business, how can you tell which way is the best? At Synergy Marketing, we believe strongly in the power of the promotional product for several reasons. Firstly, promo gifts have staying power. They’re not like your average flyer or business card that often gets lost or thrown away. Secondly, they’re very useful. That means that recipients can incorporate them into their daily lives.

Thirdly, they’re inexpensive. When you compare your investment into promotional gifts to what it would cost to run an ad on television or radio, there really is no comparison at all! It’s incredibly pricey to try the latter. Promo gifts, however, offer business owners an amazingly cost-effective way to grow their businesses. Not to mention, promo gifts add that personal touch to your interactions with your customers that you can’t get through traditional advertising.

Oh, we could keep going. But we’re hoping that the point has been made clear that when you use promotional gifts to advertise your business, you’re practically guaranteeing yourself that you will end up reaping the rewards. On BusinessKnowHow.com, Tim Parker writes that “giving out promotional products is a great way to keep your name in front of past and potential customers.” But what gifts can help you to be the most successful?

Pens and other writing instruments. Parker places writing utensils at the top of his list of “most successful promotional items”. And we can’t say that we’re surprised. It wouldn’t be the first time that pens have been acknowledged as top-tier promo gifts. And that’s because of how useful they remain to be on a daily basis. Consider the impact that can be had on someone who uses a pen bearing your company name and logo on it each day. How could they ever forget you?

Apparel. Parker notes that hats and other outerwear are strong promo gifts because they basically help to advertise your brand to people other than your gift recipients. Our 100% Brushed Cotton Sandwich Hats are especially good ideas now that we are fully immersed in summer. Help your customers protect their eyes from the sun while showcasing the good name of your brand! It’s hard to go wrong with placing your company logo on something that can be worn.

Water bottles. Speaking of making it hard to go wrong, water bottles are perhaps, the perfect promotional gifts for the summertime. Last week, we blogged about “The Importance of Staying Hydrated All Summer Long”, pointing out the necessity of water in our daily lives. By handing out water bottles as promotional gifts this summer, you ensure that your customers get regular reminders of where to shop, while helping them to maintain good health.

Calendars. Calendars just may top the charts as “most effective promotional products ever”. Consider the fact that they stay up all year long. So when you hand out a promotional calendar, you are assured that, at least for the next year, your gift recipients will be reminded of your business on a daily basis. Of course, these gifts are best to give out at the end of each year, but there’s no reason to not stock up early!

Parker points out that business owners should avoid items that have short shelf life. Going for gifts that can be used repeatedly is often your best bet. At Synergy Marketing, our friendly and knowledgeable sales staff has a lot of experience helping business owners choose the right promotional gifts for their companies. Give them a call today at 1-877-748-9884 and let’s get you advertising your business the best way we know how!

Germany Wins World Cup!

Posted in News on 14.07.14 by John Meloche

Soccer football ball with Germany flagIn what has gone down as arguably the most exciting FIFA World Cup in history, the globally-viewed football tournament has finally come to an end. And Germany, as you all are likely aware, has come out on top as the 2014 World Cup Champions. With a record-tying 171 goals scored, the 2014 edition of the World Cup saw some of the most unexpected results and exhilarating matches the tournament has ever produced.

“It was pretty amazing,” mentioned one of our Synergy Marketing sales reps early this morning, “You really never knew who was going to win each match. And even when the results were obvious, like with the Brazil-Germany game, it was still pretty incredible to see it all unfold.” The fact that Germany had dismantled the host Brazilians with a 7-1 score in the semi-finals, perhaps, should have made yesterday’s finals against Argentina not so surprising.

Considered slight favourites, the Germans had quite the tournament. They started it all off by defeating Portugal by a score of 4-0, showing that they were the team to beat from the very beginning. However, a 2-2 tie with Ghana suggested that Germany may not have been the powerhouse everyone was expecting. After all, top contenders such as Italy, England, the aforementioned Portugal and the defending champions Spain all didn’t make it past the group stage.

“The matches were pretty unpredictable all throughout the World Cup,” said our rep, “Games you thought you could bet the house on, you would end up losing. But Germany looked like they just wanted it more.” This may have been true against the Brazilians, who appeared deflated after Germany scored an early goal in their semi-final match. But Argentina’s side definitely came to play in yesterday’s final.

In fact, it appeared as if they had gotten the lead in the first half after a goal was scored, but it was called back due to an offside call. The truth is that it was anybody’s game. It took until the second half of extra time for the first and only goal of the match to be scored. However, when it was all said and done, Germany had earned the right to call themselves World Cup Champions for the fourth time in history.

Perhaps, it was just a little bit of solace for Brazilian football fans who had to also endure the pain of seeing their home side lose 3-0 to the Netherlands in the third place match. The only thing that could have made the tournament any more painful would be for their neighbours in Argentina to have won the World Cup on their home soil. Apparently, that would have been far too much salt in open wounds.

“Just one more and we’re tied with Brazil,” commented another member of our sales staff who is of German descent, “Brazil has five stars (representing the number of World Cups won) and now we have four. I think the world recognizes that Germany’s program is among the elite. I think they dominated the tournament.” Football fever (we’re being mindful to refrain from calling it “soccer”) may subside for now, but it will certainly pick up in two years.

We’re referring, of course, to the sport being played on the international stage. While it will take another four years for the next World Cup to come to us via Russia, the UEFA Euro Cup will kick off in 2016 in France. Will Germany prevail again as football’s best? Will Spain be able to bounce back in order to defend their current title? One thing is for sure. It will be hard to match the excitement produced by the 2014 World Cup. But we’re sure that it will.

Congratulations Germany!

2014 World Cup Finals Go Down This Weekend!

Posted in News on 11.07.14 by John Meloche

Soccer World Cup 2014Well folks, it all comes down to this. This coming weekend marks the official end of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the crowning of brand new champions. It’ll either be Germany or Argentina going home with the title of 2014 World Cup Champions this Sunday. Meanwhile, in tomorrow’s match for third place, Brazil will take on Netherlands, who fell one game short of repeating their trip to the finals in 2010.

This was not, as you can imagine, the last game that Brazilian soccer fans – sorry, football fans – were hoping for. In fact, with the World Cup being hosted in Brazil this year, there was arguably no tournament that Brazilians wanted to win more in history than this one. But with the home side being utterly dismantled by the incredibly impressive Germans this past Tuesday, with an unfathomable score of 7-1, a Brazilian championship victory on home soil was not to be.

“I couldn’t believe what I was watching,” commented one of Synergy Marketing’s Brazil-cheering football fans, “No one in the world could have expected that. It was really shocking.” The shock, just in case you’ve been living under a rock, came as a result of Germany going up on the Brazilians by five goals before half time. Four of those five goals, by the way, were scored within a six minute span!

“It was a complete drubbing,” recalled another member of our staff, “The game was practically over before it started. For anyone thinking that the matches were rigged to favour the home team, that game definitely put those rumours to bed. Brazil just didn’t have it. I haven’t seen a game like that, I think ever!” It’s hard to imagine that anyone has. With final scores generally consisting of just a goal or two in this sport, the 7-1 finish was an anomaly.

The semi-final match between Argentina and Netherlands that took place on Wednesday, however, was more in keeping with what is expected from soccer superpowers. Drawing at a score of nil-nil – that’s “zero-zero” to non-followers of the game and its jargon – the two teams were forced to settle the score (literally) in a penalty shootout. It was during this shootout that Argentina was able to secure its spot in the finals against Germany.

“Most people hate the penalty shootout as a way to settle games,” said our first rep, “But how else are you going to finish a match when you’ve played for two hours and you’re still deadlocked?” While it certainly wasn’t the blowout that Brazil experienced earlier this week, the defeat was still, of course, a crushing one for the Dutch side. They actually had advanced to the semi-finals by winning a shootout against Costa Rica.

Tomorrow, both Brazil and Netherlands will have to pick themselves up in order to play one final game that will determine the third place finishers of the 2014 World Cup. And while no one ever truly wants to play in such a game, soccer fans are hoping that it’s quite the show. This year’s tournament has actually been one of the most exhilarating in history. With a slew of drama-filled matches and unpredictable finishes, it has been highly entertaining.

Of course, the main event will go down this Sunday. Who will capture the title of 2014 World Cup Champions? Germany will be vying for their fourth championship while Argentina will be going for their third. No matter who wins, soccer fans from all across the world have won by witnessing one of the most interesting tournaments in history. They can all hardly wait for 2018 when it all takes place again. May the best team win! Enjoy everyone!

Top 5 Ideas To Cost-Effectively Market Your Small Business

Posted in Synergy Suggestions on 10.07.14 by John Meloche

Green Ideas - Saver Bulbs and Cables IsolatedAs the owner of a small business, it’s your job to think of ways to grow your customer base. However, getting the good word out about your products and services may seem like a harrowing task considering how much money big corporations spend on their advertising campaigns. But, that’s just it. As a small business owner, you don’t have to spend a ton of money advertising your business. You actually have an advantage.

Think about it. Have you ever spoken directly to the head of any large corporation that you’ve done business with as a customer? Not likely. Your business, on the other hand, has the opportunity to communicate personally with each of its customers on a regular basis. It’s the “personal touch” that is both an effective and cost-efficient way to grow the reach of your brand. So how do you accomplish that?

On Entrepreneur.com, Susan LaPlante-Dube writes that “there are literally hundreds of cost-effective ideas you can use to increase your revenue.” Thankfully, she lists a few of what she considers to be “high-impact marketing approaches that don’t cost a bundle and that can work for virtually every business.” In today’s blog, we’ll review her top five ideas and, as always, add our thoughts to each of her points.

1. Talk to your clients. Yes, sometimes it really is that simple. You’re able to start relationships just by initiating conversations with the people who walk through your doors. Remember, this is something that the owner of a large corporation rarely does, if ever. LaPlante-Dube writes that speaking to your existing customers is one of the best ways to increase revenue. After all, who better to help you grow your business than the people who already support it?

2. Leverage existing relationships. In addition to your existing customers, your friends and colleagues can be excellent resources. Writes LaPlante-Dube: “Most people know at least 200 people. Do the math: If you know 200 people and they each know 200 people, that’s 40,000 potential contacts! Spend time developing relationships with the people you already know -clients, colleagues, people you meet through professional networking organizations, friends and even family.”

3. Get the word out with publicity. LaPlante-Dube points out that most entrepreneurs generally think that getting publicity requires the hiring of a “high-priced firm”. Not so. If you believe that your business is truly unique, then there has got to be something newsworthy about it. Contact your local news stations and inform them of a special event taking place at your business.Give them a story worth reporting and your business will get the type of publicity money can’t buy.

4. Commit to e-mail marketing. As of July 1st, new CRTC laws are cracking down hard on spamming. So be sure to get the permission of your clients through a sign-up process that will allow you to market to them through e-mail. As LaPlante-Dube writes, “marketing through e-mail is flexible, cost-effective, easy to measure (assuming you put the right tracking in place), and high impact.”

5. Creatively package your marketing campaigns. LaPlante-Dube recommends that business owners “think outside of the box”. Do something that your competition isn’t doing so that it garners attention. Giving out promotional products can really come in handy when trying to gain special attention. Promo gifts are well known for pleasing customers in ways that the average postcard or flyer cannot.

Answering Questions About Why We All Need Sunglasses

Posted in News, Promotional Products on 09.07.14 by John Meloche

SG-300_BIG-160x160Isn’t summer just great? With so many things to do in the warm and sunny weather, it’s arguably the greatest time of the year. Interestingly, however, it’s also a time of year when people need to be a lot more mindful about their health. Sure, it may seem fun to be out in the sun all day. But it’s not exactly the safest thing to do. It’s important to remember that the sun’s UV rays can be harmful.

As a result, many people put on sunscreen to protect their skin from the possibility of sunburn and even worse, skin cancer. But sunscreen can’t cover up our entire bodies. What about our eyes? On WebMD.com, Kathleen Doheny writes that The Vision Council, which is an industry group, conducted a study and found that while 73 per cent of adults wear sunglasses, only 58 per cent of them make their children do the same.

But why is it important for everyone to wear sunglasses? It’s because just as much as the sun’s UV rays can damage our skin, they can damage our eyes as well. Doheny reveals that the report also discovered that only 1 in 6 of those polled said that eye health was the reason they wore shades. Most – two-thirds, in fact – said that wearing sunglasses was all about preventing glare. And then there are those who don’t wear sunglasses at all!

Why would people not wear sunglasses? According to Doheny, researchers found that the main reasons were that people forget, lose or break their sunglasses often. 20 per cent of those polled actually feel that their eyes really don’t require any protection from the sun anyways. We should all know by now, however, that protecting our eyes from the sun is as important as protecting our skin from the sun.

And why is it so important to protect our eyes? “UV exposure can cause short-term and long-term effects on eye health,” writes Doheny, “People with blue eyes are more at risk for UV damage than those with brown eyes, experts say. After a long day at the beach, eyes may seem bloodshot, swollen, and light-sensitive. Sunburn of the eye, or photokeratitis, is one effect. It’s also known as ‘snow blindness,’ as it happens to skiers, too.”

So should sunglasses be worn all year round? They sure should be! Consider just how bright the glare of the sun is when it is bouncing off the snow. Doheny writes that in severe cases, a person can lose his or her vision for up to 48 hours due to snow blindness. Now, there may not be any snow on the ground during the summer, but there are plenty of things that the sun’s harmful UV rays can bounce of off. That even includes swimming pool water!

So what other problems can occur when we don’t wear sunglasses? Writes Doheny: “‘Surfer’s eye,’ also known as pterygium: This abnormal but usually benign growth on the eye’s surface can itch, swell, and become irritated. Surgery can be done to remove it, but it can come back.” In addition, cataracts, which is the “the progressive clouding of the lens of the eye” and age-related macular degeneration, which is damage to the middle of the retina at the back of the eye can occur.

So what are the best sunglasses to get? What you want are sunglasses that offer UV 400 protection. According to WebMD.com, “these block light rays with wavelengths up to 400 nanometers, which means that your eyes are shielded from even the tiniest UV rays.” And Synergy Marketing has got them! We have an awesome selection of sunglasses that make some of the best promotional products available on the market today!

For more information and to place an order for your promotional sunglasses, don’t hesitate to call us at 1-877-748-9884. You’ll be doing both your business and its customers a huge favour. We all need sunglasses!

The Importance Of Staying Hydrated All Summer Long

Posted in News, Promotional Products on 08.07.14 by John Meloche

DRK-03_BIG-160x160It’s hot out there folks! Even during the muggy and cloudy days of summer, the humidity is still something that can make us sweat and feel like we’ve just experienced a workout – just because we’re outside. We suppose this is what they mean by the “dog days of summer”. That’s not to say that summer still isn’t an incredibly joyful season. It just means that it’s important that we all stay hydrated.

Consuming water is an excellent year-round practice. But making sure that you are carrying around a water bottle with you all summer long should be a practice that becomes commonplace. On EatDrinkBetter.com, Rachel Fox writes that “water helps lubricate internal surfaces, flushes toxins through the kidneys, transports nutrients throughout the body, maintains healthy blood pressure, regulates body temperature and sustains healthy vital organs.”

So it’s pretty obvious, as Fox notes, that water is one of the most important components of our daily diets. Dr. Daemon Jones agrees. On Ehmpower.com, he reveals that “every day our body loses water in normal processing, in chemical reactions, when we go to the bathroom (both urination and defecation), sweating, and small amounts each time we exhale.” Bottom line: staying hydrated is a mandatory part of maintaining optimum health.

Sometimes, we don’t even realize that our most common ailments are results of dehydration. Fox points out some of the symptoms of dehydration so that we can all get better acquainted with reasons why we need to drink water so regularly. They include dry mouth, which is perhaps the most obvious. However, headaches, nausea, vomiting, irritability, fatigue, decreased urination, constipation, dizziness, fever and even delirium are all recognized signs of dehydration.

Dr. Jones affirms that we shouldn’t assume that we are hydrating ourselves properly by drinking just any type of fluid. Coffees, juices and sodas don’t necessarily cut it. “Fluids that contain caffeine can act as a diuretic and cause your body to lose water content instead of gain water, especially if you are drinking more than 40 ounces per day,” he writes, “Sodas (regular or diet), coffee or teas that have caffeine should not be considered hydrating, especially during the hot weather.”

So how much water do we all really need? Is that whole “eight glasses a day” thing really accurate? Fox actually recommends that we drink even more! She reveals that “The National Institute of Medicine recommends about 3 litres of fluid for males and 2 litres for women…The general recommendation for eight 8 oz glasses of water per day converts to about 1.9 litres. This amount would be sufficient for most women, males need slightly more.”

Of course, the amount of water we all need will increase the more active we are and the more we sweat. Naturally, you’re bound to sweat more during the summer. So getting as much water in your system as possible is highly recommended. “If you’re exercising when the weather is hot, it is even more important to make sure water is part of your daily routine. This means drinking water even when you don’t feel thirsty,” says Dr. Jones.

So what does this all mean for your business? Well, sure staying hydrated is important for you to function properly each and every day. But you have the opportunity to help your customers do the same! Give out promotional water bottles with your company name and logo on them. They are the perfect gifts to give out all summer long. Have a quick chat with your clients about what you read in today’s blog and send them on their way with promo gifts that guarantee that they’ll be thinking about you in the months to come.

To order your promotional water bottles today, call Synergy Marketing at 1-877-748-9884.

Flying Saucers Make Sweet Summertime Promo Gifts!

Posted in Promotional Products on 07.07.14 by John Meloche

PF-001_YELLOW-160x160So how has your summer been going so far? In the City of Toronto – where Synergy Marketing makes its headquarters – we’ve been enjoying a lot of sunshine and warmth as of late. Many of our staff members have commented about how they’ve spent large chunks of their weekends attending various festivals, barbeques and other outdoor events throughout the city. And they all have one thing in common…

A lot of people! “Every event I’ve been to has been packed,” mentioned one of our colleagues recently, “It’s awesome to see people enjoying the good weather. I’ve seen a lot of families out, bringing their kids out for a good time. You just can’t beat the summertime!” As you can imagine, the beautiful weather, that the summer brings along, encourages more people to go outdoors more often.

And with so many more people enjoying the great outdoors at various events all throughout the summer, it provides you with excellent opportunities to promote your business! Considering that summertime and spending time outside goes hand in hand, one of the best ways to promote your business would be through promotional gifts that can be used outdoors. And at Synergy Marketing, we have some fantastic options!

The Flying Saucer is arguably our most popular summertime promotional gift. Better known as the Frisbee, this awesome promo product is great way to spread the name of your brand at outdoor events. Just imagine the attention you’ll garner when people are partaking in a game of Frisbee, using one with your company logo and contact information on it. These work wonders in boosting your brand all summer long!

Placing your company name and logo on a Flying Saucer also helps to show the “fun” side of your brand. Often, it’s the image that you portray that helps to encourage visitors to your place of business over the actual products and services you offer. When you consider that consumers have the option of going to your competitors if they sell the same goods, you will want to get a step up by shining a favourable light in your own direction.

“Companies with cool promo gifts always get a lot of attention,” commented one of our summer-loving reps last week, “It shows consumers that they are not only generous because they give out gifts, but that they are fun brands. Frisbees are cool because people will use them, not only this summer, but in summers in the future. That means that using this promo gift will promote your brand as a fun one for years to come.”

Synergy Marketing’s Flying Saucer is 9 inches in diameter and offers a screen print of your company name and logo that is 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches. And they are affordably priced at only $4.99 a piece! “Business owners are often surprised at just how cost-effective they are,” mentioned our rep, “I’ve often spoken to clients who mention that they get new customers who come in asking for the Frisbees. They are real people-pleasers.”

Get a hold of some promotional flying saucers today by calling Synergy Marketing at 1-877-748-9884. Of course, there are many other promotional products to choose from. But with the summertime freshly underway, your best bet may be to choose gifts that your customers will be able to enjoy during the summer months when the weather is expected to be nice, sunny and warm. Here’s hoping they will bring you your best summer to date!

5 More Summer-Themed Small Business Marketing Tips

Posted in Synergy Suggestions on 04.07.14 by John Meloche

Shopping summer salesWho loves summer? We love summer! Don’t you? What’s not to like? The sun is out, the weather is warm, and people enjoy going outdoors more now than at any other time of the year. If you’re a business owner, this is fantastic news. As you know, the warm weather encourages more and more people to come outside which means that more and more people are available to visit your store.

In yesterday’s blog, we began taking a look at a ThoughtReach.com article by Brian Morris that detailed a few ways that business owners could use the summer season to promote their businesses. These small business marketing tips, geared towards summer-themed ideas, are great ways to make this summer your hottest one yet. In today’s blog, we’ll conclude our look at this list.

1. Hot weather promotional items. Ironically, although most people love the hot weather, one of the first things they tend to do is look for ways to cool down. Do you offer items that can assist with such needs? We sure do! Morris points out that promotional items such as water bottles are excellent giveaways to anyone who enters your location on a hot day. At Synergy Marketing, we have a variety of water bottles for you to choose from!

2. Temperature-related discounts. Here’s a cool idea. Or a hot one, depending on how you look at it. Morris suggests that you offer different daily discounts depending on the temperature. “Launch a fun campaign that gets customers to your location during the dog days of summer by offering a discount based on how high the temperature climbs,” he suggests, “You’ll be able to land sales on days when customers would otherwise stay indoors.”

3. Go to lunch. Sometimes, you need to go that extra mile in order to both impress and secure the loyalty of your most important clients. Morris suggests that you take them to lunch at some point during the summer “to reinforce your business relationship, foster customer loyalty, and glean information that can improve your company and customer satisfaction. Your customers will appreciate the gesture.”

4. Community service. Readers of the Synergy Marketing Blog know that this is a marketing tip that comes up pretty often. Is there really ever a downside to volunteering your time for your community? Not only does it show kindness and generosity, but it helps your community members out in ways that they truly need. Of course, your commitment to your community is great PR for your brand, reminds Morris.

5. Have fun with holidays. “The summer has plenty of wacky holidays that present opportunities for fun and unique marketing,” writes Morris, “For example, June is candy month, July is National Anti-Boredom Month, and August is National Golf Month. Think you can roll one of those into an attention-getting marketing campaign?” We think you can. And we have just what you need to make these ideas work.

Promotional gifts provide your customers with ways to think about you on a daily basis. Because they are not business cards – which tend to get lost or thrown away – your promo gifts will last a long time within the possession of their recipients. Naturally, summer-themed gifts will work best in the coming months. Give us a call at 1-877-748-9884 to order the promo gift that will work best to promote your brand this summer.
