saving moneyBusy business owners have a lot on their plates. Taking on the task of running a business is no easy feat. They have staff members to look after, products and services to sell and a large market to advertise to. This is where Synergy Marketing comes in. We know, from many years of experience, the impact a business owner can have by intelligently marketing his or her business.

It can never be taken for granted that products and services can sell themselves. This is why, with the help of promotional products, businesses from all over Canada have been able to make better names for themselves. Growing customer relationships makes for better business. So with all that is on a business owner’s plate, the need to advertise is perhaps the biggest task.

We all know that marketing is important. But that doesn’t mean that all entrepreneurs can afford big advertising campaigns. Luckily, promo gifts don’t require big budgets. As well, effective advertising doesn’t have to be expensive – just creative! On PCMag.com, Kathy Yakal writes that there are numerous ways to advertise your business that are either cheap or free.

Increase visibility in your community. There’s nothing like becoming a pillar of the community to encourage local residents to have faith in your brand. Yakal suggests that you join local organizations that will help you to gain more access to networking opportunities. You should also do volunteer work as donating your time to charities will go a long way in building your reputation, and therefore your company’s image.

Participate in online marketing groups. By now, advising you to join Facebook and Twitter should be unnecessary. But once you have your social networking sites all up and running, you should get involved in marketing chats. There are a number of them that take place on Twitter. Get yourself known and get involved in conversations that can help you to showcase your expertise in your field.

Submit information to blogs. “Blog writers are always looking for content for their sites. Target appropriate ones and send them press releases or descriptive e-mails,” writes Yakal. Don’t forget to start your own blog, as well, if you haven’t already. There are very talented blog writers out there who can help provide your website with content if you’re too busy to write them on your own.

Reward existing customers. This is one of the big benefits of handing out promo gifts. When customers receive rewards, they are generally very grateful. You, in turn, will be rewarded with their loyalty. Be sure to let your regular customers know that you appreciate them. In addition to promo gifts, you may wish to provide them with other incentives such as discounts on your most popular items.

Get your customers to bring in new customers. Ah, there’s nothing like a good old referral to welcome new clients to your business! Yakal recommends that you “offer an incentive like a discount to customers who get a new customer to make a transaction with your business.” This is an age-old marketing strategy that is brilliant in its simplicity. As they say, there’s no better promotion than word-of-mouth promotion!
